The program "Khanh Hoa people speak English" organized the final round of the "Master English - Master Your Life" contest in 2025.
This is a playground for many groups of people such as students, small traders, women's unions and workers in enterprises.
The contest took place from March 14 to 23, attracting 1,500 contestants to participate in the preliminary round online.
The organizing committee has developed a separate set of questions for each group of subjects to ensure fairness and limit the difference in qualifications. Through the preliminary round, 160 contestants with the best results continued to compete in the final round.
In the final round, contestants went through three rounds: answering questions on the Kahoot platform, ringing the bell to find keywords and the answering questions. In particular, the final round of the competition will test English speaking proficiency, including a 1-1 Q&A session with judges and a stage debate.
At the end of the competition, the organizing committee selected the 20 contestants with the highest scores from the groups and awarded the prize for a 4-day, 3-night trip to Malaysia.
Bui Tri (Nha Trang City) - student champion - shared his joy at achieving the highest result: "The contest is a useful playground to help me practice my skills and discover my own abilities".
Meanwhile, Ms. Mai Thi Hong Dieu, a trader at Dam Market (Nha Trang City), said that she has been studying English at the Dam Market Traders Club for more than two years.
Thanks to that, she is increasingly confident in communicating with foreign customers, promoting products and exchanging prices more quickly.
"The happiest thing is that when coming to this contest, I have the opportunity to connect with many people, thereby improving my English communication skills, very well supporting my business", Ms. Dieu shared.
According to the representative of the program "Khanh Hoa People speak English", this is a 5-year-long social project chaired by the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province. The program focuses on English communication skills, deployed mainly by volunteers with the goal of popularizing English to a large number of people in the province.
Currently, Khanh Hoa has established 250 English clubs with more than 10,000 participants, organizing completely free weekly classes, contributing to improving the community's foreign language proficiency.
