Procedures and regulations on personal income tax refunds are of interest to readers.

Sending a question to the Government Electronic Information Portal, a reader in Ho Chi Minh City said that he had submitted a personal income tax refund dossier for the 2023 tax calculation period.

After a period of supplementing the documents, in November 2024, readers received a notice from the Thu Duc City Tax Department about accepting the tax refund request.

However, by 2025, readers have not yet received the money. Readers ask, according to regulations, how long does it take to resolve tax refunds?

Regarding this issue, the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department informed that in the case of readers, after receiving and processing the documents, based on the tax refund request, on February 12, 2025, the Head of the Thu Duc City Tax Department issued Decision No. 356/QD-CCT-KDT on tax refund.

Accordingly, the total amount of tax refunded to readers is 35,345,370 VND ( Thirty-five million three hundred three hundred forty-five thousand three hundred three hundred and seventy VND).

Reversal method: Transfer money to an account at the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) - Ho Chi Minh City Branch.
