Attending the meeting, on the side of Ca Mau province, there were Mr. Huynh Chi Nguyen - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade, the Department of Finance and the Provincial People's Committee Office.
On the side of EVNNPT, there were Mr. Nguyen Tuan Tung - Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Corporation; Mr. Pham Le Phu - General Director; Deputy General Directors Bui Van Kien, Nguyen Ngoc Tan and leaders of related departments and units.

Reporting at the meeting, EVNNPT General Director Pham Le Phu said that the power transmission grid supplying power to Ca Mau province currently has 4 220kV transformer stations with a total capacity of 1,125 MVA and 17 220kV lines connecting power plants in the area, with a total length of about 560 km. Management and operation work is ensured safety and reliability, contributing to stable power supply for the socio-economic development of the province.
However, to unblock power sources in the area and increase the reliability of power supply for the coming years, EVNNPT proposed that the province coordinate to speed up the progress of power transmission projects.
According to the VIII Power Plan (adjusted), there are currently 5 projects implemented by EVNNPT in Ca Mau province, of which 4 projects are under construction and 1 project is preparing for investment, which is the Bac Lieu - Thot Not 500kV LNG Power Line. The project has a scale of 2 routes, about 130 km long, passing through Ca Mau province and Can Tho city. EVNNPT is surveying the route, striving to start construction in the first quarter of 2026 and energize in sync with the time of January 1 of Bac Lieu LNG Power Plant.
EVNNPT requested the People's Committee of Ca Mau province to promptly approve the route, update local planning, support the completion of investment policy documents, and at the same time send an official dispatch to the People's Committee of Can Tho City to coordinate in removing obstacles in route, planning and assigning investors according to the proposal of the Corporation.
At the meeting, leaders of departments and branches of Ca Mau province and representatives of EVNNPT discussed and proposed solutions to speed up legal procedures to start construction and energize the project on schedule.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of EVNNPT Board of Directors Nguyen Tuan Tung emphasized that the progress of completing power transmission projects depends largely on the stages of agreement on route direction, approval of investment policies, site clearance and resettlement. He suggested that the province update the list of 500/220kV power transmission projects in the master plan, and at the same time review and arrange land funds to implement un Implemented projects.
The Provincial People's Committee is recommended to direct departments and branches to closely coordinate with EVNNPT in approving the compensation, support and site clearance plan (BTGPMB), facilitating construction progress.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee Huynh Chi Nguyen thanked EVNNPT for its attention and investment in power transmission projects, contributing to the release of power plants and ensuring power supply for the socio-economic development of the province.
He affirmed that the 500kV Bac Lieu - Thot Not LNG transmission line project is of special importance in transmitting the capacity of LNG power plants and connecting the 500kV power grid in the Southern region, ensuring safe and stable power supply. The project is in accordance with Decision No. 768/QD-TTg dated April 15, 2025 of the Prime Minister on adjusting the VIII Power Plan.
Ca Mau province highly appreciated EVNNPT's proactiveness in urgently completing procedures, ensuring synchronous progress with Bac Lieu LNG Power Plant.

Regarding EVNNPT's proposals and recommendations, the People's Committee of Ca Mau province affirmed that it will direct departments, branches and localities to take drastic action to remove obstacles. In the immediate future, the province proposed to establish a Working Group to promptly handle difficulties arising in the implementation of power projects in general and of EVNNPT in particular.
The leaders of Ca Mau province assigned the Department of Industry and Trade as the focal point, synthesize reports every week, and at the same time set specific progress milestones for each industry and locality to completely resolve difficulties and problems of EVNNPT projects that are and are preparing to deploy investment in the province for the Provincial People's Committee to direct and operate.
Departments, branches and localities need to closely coordinate with EVNNPT to build accurate route directions, avoiding adjustments during the construction process.
The leaders of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province requested EVNNPT to closely coordinate with relevant departments, branches and localities of the province to implement the project synchronously and smoothly, striving to complete the Bac Lieu - Thot Not 500kV LNG transmission line project to ensure progress, synchronously with the Bac Lieu LNG Power Plant project.
