On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, to ensure a seamless experience at the festival locations, Viettel has mobilized the most modern and high-configuration 5G stations with 64T/64R technology, meeting the network connection needs of hundreds of thousands of customers at the above events. For example, at the location of the fire magic drone demonstration on New Year's Eve in Hanoi, Viettel will mobilize nearly 70 additional broadcasting stations and mobile vehicles to meet the livestream, photo check-in and online internet needs of all Viettel subscribers at the event. Here, customers can easily connect to the network via Viettel 5G with a speed 10 times faster than 4G and almost no latency.
Previously, Viettel also provided 5G network connection for customers at famous music events such as the concerts Anh Trai Say Hi and Anh Trai Vuot Ngan Chong Gai in Hanoi, the event "City Tet Fest - Thu Duc 2025" with a scale of nearly 20 hectares, more than 200 booths and 600,000 attendees at Saigon Riverside Park, the drone performance on January 19 at West Lake with nearly 350,000 attendees and the Vietnamese traditional costume festival in Hanoi's Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake.
Understanding the increasing demand for calling and using the internet of customers in the days before Tet, Viettel launched a new 5G package - TET5G for only 50,000 VND, only on the occasion of the Lunar New Year At Ty 2025. Viettel launched the first and largest 5G network in Vietnam with more than 6,500 transmission stations with outdoor coverage of over 90% of the capital areas of 63 provinces and cities, industrial parks, schools, airports, seaports, etc. Viettel's 5G network quickly reached the milestone of 3 million users just 2 weeks after its launch and to date, 70% of subscribers in Viettel's 5G coverage area have used 5G (equivalent to 4 million customers), internet traffic on 5G has accounted for 30% in the deployment area, showing the attraction and potential of 5G in Vietnam is huge.
Viettel's 5G network speed can reach 700Mbps-1Gb, 10 times faster than 4G, and the latency is almost zero, deployed simultaneously on both 5G NSA (non stand alone) and 5G SA (stand alone) architecture platforms. Viettel's official provision of 5G services is considered a boost for other network operators to participate in the commercialization process more strongly, promoting the goal of national digital transformation, providing a platform for businesses and organizations to apply digital technology; while helping to improve the quality of life of users.
