Strong demand has caused many gardeners to be busy packaging and transporting thousands of pots to southern provinces and cities, even falling into a "sold out" situation early on.
In the Ninh Phuoc area (Phan Rang), the atmosphere of the days leading up to Tet becomes busier than ever. Gardeners focus on taking care of and selecting standard grape pots to deliver to customers in time.
According to garden owners, most orders come from Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai and the Mekong Delta provinces - where people are increasingly favoring the trend of unique ornamental plants, meaning prosperity.

Many gardens are starting to "sold out" due to early customers, mainly from Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai and the Mekong Delta provinces.
Ms. Nguyen Thuy Linh (a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City) said that on the days leading up to Tet, she takes advantage of combining travel and buying ornamental grapes to send back to the city for relatives and friends.
Ornamental grapes are both beautiful, eye-catching, and have the meaning of prosperity, so they are very popular for displaying in homes, offices or cafes. I think the trend of playing ornamental grapes during Tet will continue to increase in the coming years," Ms. Linh shared.
Unlike fruit grapes grown in the field, ornamental grapes are grown in pots, creating a curved shape with strong roots.
The special feature is that the tree can be displayed for Tet and also have clusters of green and red grapes swaying in the sun, creating a feeling of fullness and luck in the new year. The aesthetic element combined with symbolic value has made many people choose ornamental grapes instead of traditional trees.
To have a standard ornamental grape pot, gardeners have to spend 6 months to 1 year taking care of it.
Growers must choose suitable varieties, carefully treat the soil, and use steel wire to fix branches during shaping, helping the canopy spread evenly and balanced.
Ornamental grapes are often shaped in many styles such as one-layer rounds, three-layer rounds... requiring meticulousness and long-term experience. According to gardeners, this year the cost of materials, fertilizers and labor has all increased, causing the selling price of ornamental grapes to slightly increase compared to last year.
Currently, the price ranges from 500,000 VND to 2.5 million VND/pot, depending on the shape of the tree and the number of fruit clusters. Customers often order before December, the closer to Tet, the harder it is to find a beautiful pot.

The southern region of Khanh Hoa province (formerly Ninh Thuan) has a dry climate, with nearly 2,900 hours of sunshine per year, which is very suitable for growing grapes. With more than 1,000 hectares of planting area and an output of over 26,000 tons per year, this place is considered the "grape capital" of the country.
Although they were affected by floods at the end of November 2025, thanks to long-term farming experience, gardeners quickly restored production, ensuring goods supply to serve the Tet market.
The fact that many people choose to play ornamental grapes in the new year 2026 not only brings new colors to the spring space but also opens up a sustainable direction for local specialty agricultural products, contributing to increasing income for grape growers.
