On April 1, Mr. Ha Sy Dong, Acting Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province, confirmed that regarding the contractor's fraud in bidding documents for the BIIG2 Quang Tri project, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province has decided to administratively sanction the violation against Quang Tri Traffic Consulting Joint Stock Company (Dong Ha city, Quang Tri province).
Specifically, Quang Tri Traffic Consulting Joint Stock Company had the act of "faulting in bidding" when participating in the Consulting package to prepare the Feasibility Study Report for the item "Traffic roads and works on the route - Sub-project to upgrade and renovate provincial road DT.582 from Km3+450 to Km13+450 and build a new Hoi Yen 1 and Hoi Yen 2 bridges (Hai Lang district)". The above sub-project belongs to the Basic Infrastructure Project for Comprehensive Development of Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh and Quang Tri provinces - Quang Tri Province Sub-project (BIIG2 Quang Tri Project).
For the above behavior, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province fined Quang Tri Traffic Consulting Joint Stock Company 200 million VND.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that during the process of organizing the selection of contractors to implement the above-mentioned package, the Quang Tri Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board discovered that Quang Tri Traffic Consulting Joint Stock Company had committed fraud in bidding documents when assigning 2 fake personnel to be hydrological survey experts and geological survey experts. Therefore, the Quang Tri Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board has proposed that the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee handle the above contractor according to regulations, which is to ban him from participating in bidding activities for 3 to 5 years.
