The Central Steering Committee for Commemorating Major Holidays and Important Historical Events of the country in the 3 years 2023 - 2025 has just officially issued a Decision approving the overall project of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
Among the contents towards the celebration are parades and parades on the historic Ba Dinh Square. With the significance and stature of the event, in recent times, the Army and Police units have thoroughly grasped and seriously implemented, closely organizing the training of parading and parade blocks to participate in the celebration.



After completing the basic training phase at the unit, from the beginning of June 2025, the forces have been mobilized to locations in Hanoi to enter general training. In unusual weather conditions and harsh heat, thousands of officers and soldiers still practiced with the highest determination.
The parade and marching activities received special attention and anticipation from the people as well as the continuous training of officers and soldiers. On the hot sports fields, thousands of officers and soldiers practice each movement every day to perform "correctly, evenly, beautifully". Although their clothes were wet and sweat, the officers and soldiers still persistently followed each step with greatness, each move was quick and precise.
According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, during many days of cluster training, at the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village, from early morning, thousands of people - of all ages, from the elderly to children - wore sunflowers to watch the parades and parades, creating a vibrant and proud atmosphere.
Ms. Khuat Thi Tam (80 years old, Hanoi) tearfully said: "From a young age until now, you have been able to watch a real parade... The soldiers who made you very excited". While young man Nguyen Quoc Huy (22 years old, from Bac Ninh) expressed: "I feel very beautiful, very proud... I would like to thank the soldiers for all the silent sacrifices".
People witnessed every moment of exercise of officers and soldiers with pride and filled with emotions. They see in it the spirit of self-respect, discipline, and the most beautiful image of today's armed generation.


As for the officers and soldiers, they were motivated by the encouragement and sincere affection of the people themselves. It is a intersection between persistent training efforts and love for the nation - a strong belief in a parade that is not only magnificent but also full of humanity and tradition.
As assessed by General Nguyen Tan Cuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense - during the general inspection and training session on July 17, it was: "The hours of hard, enthusiastic, and responsible training of comrades on the sports field in recent days are the most vivid and convincing evidence of their dedication to the great event of the nation".

An emotional detail shared by General Nguyen Tan Cuong about the people's anticipation during recent parades and parades was the image of thousands of people gathering along the road very early, carrying national flags and revolutionary loudspeakers to watch each exercise.
"Our people have been lining up since 7pm the day before, just to see the soldiers practicing. They sang the revolutionary song. That unforgettable image is the motivation for each officer and soldier to overcome fatigue - General Nguyen Tan Cuong shared.
This parade is not only a ceremony, but also an opportunity to clearly demonstrate the combined strength of national defense and security, affirming the great role of the armed forces in protecting independence, sovereignty, and maintaining peace and stability of the country throughout 80 years under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
