More than 400 ceramic artifacts and Ceramic Caves are recognized as National Treasures

The "P ceramic Times of National Construction" museum is uniquely designed, imbued with Vietnamese culture. The pottery artifacts here reflect the life, culture, beliefs and technical proficiency of the ancient Vietnamese people, marking the early development of the pottery industry in Vietnam. These types of pottery are mainly clay, exploited from areas along rivers and streams, and are fired at low temperatures, sometimes with the addition of other materials to increase durability.

The pottery artifacts in the "Pterocrypt of the National Assembly" museum are not only historical and cultural in value but also a testament to the early development of traditional handicrafts in Vietnam.

Speaking specifically about Dong Son Cultural Pottery making Cave, this artifact was recognized as a National Treasure in 2024. Dong Son cultural pottery clay is made from terracotta, fine lightning mixed with sand, vegetable pulp, small clay, made with brocade powder, relatively hard and sturdy ceramic bones; red gray ceramic bones. Red ceramic shirt. Carefully observe the shirt, ceramic bones and take Micropicture - a micro-photo shows that the ceramic is heated at high temperatures, about 800 - 900°C.

Dong Son cultural pottery cages are original, unique, and unique artifacts of special value; are treasures of the ancient Vietnamese people during the Hung Kings' reign that were discovered, researched and highly appreciated by archaeology in the order of Dong Son cultural pottery.

Dong Son Cultural Pottery making Cave is recognized as a National Treasure, showing the high level of pottery processing techniques in prehistoric times - prehistoric times, with the main function of making rice by steaming water by the most advanced method at that time.

The pottery kiln is shaped into two layers: The upper floor is a storage area for things to cook, the lower floor is a pot for boiling water. The container contains 23cm high steamer material, the body is c maple-shaped and gradually moves towards the steamer, the mouth is steaming, with a ditch and edge at the edge of the mouth. The pot contains water 17cm high, spherical, rounded bottom, shoulders with edges. The steamer between the steamer and the pot has small holes. The next place is the two reaches and pot with a bridge that is built on the shoulders. The outside of the stele decorated with splints combined with lettering, is both artistic and supportive when shaping, making the product firm, strong, and resistant to force, less cracked when fired and retaining heat evenly when used.

The discovery of pottery cages in Dong Son cultural sites is vivid evidence showing the culinary culture of that time: It is known to use steam to cook sticky rice (and possibly some other foods) to create sticky rice - a traditional dish popular during important ceremonies and daily life in Vietnam from 2,500 years ago to the present day.

The "Meteorological Ceramic Site for National Construction" Museum is the place to preserve the National Treasure of Dong Son Ceramic Site. According to Mr. Pham Gia Chi Bao (artist Chi Bao) - Director of the Ceramic Museum of the Water Construction period, the Dong Son Cultural Ceramic Landfill is currently on display at the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of History. After the end of the 1 month of exhibition, Dong Son Cultural Pottery Cave will be brought back to " Pottery of the People's Army".

Speaking about 400 ancient pottery artifacts, these are artifacts belonging to pre-Dong Son cultures such as: Phung Nguyen Culture, Dong Dau, Go Mun..., contemporary cultures such as Sa Huynh Culture, Dong Nai River Basin Prehistoric Culture, as well as collections of artifacts from some periods of independence and self-reliance in Vietnamese feudal history.

Mr. Pham Gia Chi Bao said that in the museum, there is Cai Beo pottery dating back about 5,000 years; Ha Long, Phung Nguyen, Hoa Loc pottery dating back more than 3,000 years and Dong Son pottery dating back 2,000 to 2,500 years... " pottery from the time of building the country" provides vivid documents to serve historical and archaeological research, while educating the community about the value of national heritage.

Hope to be a bridge to arouse the pride of ancient Vietnamese culture

In a conversation with us, artist Chi Bao said that it took him 10 years to learn about ceramics. During this time, he visited museums around the world. The more he traveled, the more he loved the ceramic antiques he owned.

Artist Chi Bao shared that the museum was established with the desire to become a bridge between the past and the present, arousing pride in the ancient culture of Vietnam.

"We expect this place to become a leading cultural and historical destination, where each artifact tells the story of the origin of the nation" - he said.

Artist Chi Bao added that in the coming time, the museum will organize experiential programs for students; cooperate with universities and museums at home and abroad to develop research materials.

The National University Ceramics Museum is expected to create a diverse experience space, arousing the pride of Vietnamese culture in the public, especially the younger generation. "My affection for Vietnamese ceramics is a very special thing, it is difficult to describe in words. That feeling comes from the fact that I can connect with many things from the ceramic" - he said.

Artist Chi Bao said that his wish for ceramic artifacts is to " introduce to young people the cultural history of the nation".Ceramics have a primitive, original beauty, that is not a matter of discussion. But there, he also saw a journey of struggling to overcome difficulties to move forward.
