Long Vu was loved by the audience as soon as the movie “Di giua troi ruc ro” aired. Since becoming famous, how do you see your life change compared to before?
- I was surprised to be accepted by the audience so soon. When everything came to me so quickly, I thought I was still living a normal life like every day. I have more people who love and care about me. I did not hesitate, I just did not expect to be accepted by the audience right from my first leading role. During my career, at the beginning, I wanted to do my best, gain more experience for myself and learn lessons. I did not dare to expect too much, I could not hope for anything more when I am loved like this. The support of the audience is a great motivation for me.
Playing the lead role in a TV series for the first time, Long Vu must have faced many challenges. Which scene was the most difficult for you?
- If we talk about psychological difficulty, it was the scene where Chai sat talking to his father, after going through many difficulties. When Chai saw his father off at the bus station, my emotions were very chaotic, but I had to hold back and not show them. The scene at the stream was difficult because of the setting and weather. When filming the scene where Pu was about to jump into the water, the weather was unstable, so the whole crew had a hard time.
Now, many loving audiences call you Chai. What are the similarities and differences between Long Vu and Chai?
- I think I have something in common with Chai in that we are both very emotional. As for energy waves, I am very different from Chai. I am not as energetic and active as Chai, and there will be times when I turn inward to balance my emotions. I think if I like someone, I will also be quiet and not pursue them passionately like Chai.

What does the role of Chai mean to Long Vu on his journey to pursue an acting career?
- My first role was Cuong in the movie "The War Without Borders". It was a small role, but it was Cuong that made Chai what he is today. I am very grateful for the roles that came to me, and always thank the directors and crews who gave me great opportunities. My mother always said that I was lucky, much luckier than her. For many years after graduating, my mother had not received any invitations to act in movies or play short plays, but as soon as I graduated, I had my first roles in my career, and was known and impressed by the audience.
Luck makes me grateful, and more dedicated to every opportunity I have in my career.
Previously, you often appeared with artist Van Dung, but now you are an independent actor. When becoming a public figure, actors need to pay attention to their behavior, pay attention to their words, and know how to maintain their image, especially for young actors. What is your opinion on this?
- Actually, I think it's a good thing, we need to behave culturally for the audience. I consider it my responsibility, to cultivate my strengths, correct my bad habits so as not to disappoint the audience's expectations. I think it's something we should do and not think too much about. I think when we try to become better, it's a wonderful thing.
Seeing his mother busy and struggling with her acting career, why did Long Vu still choose to pursue this career?
- First of all, I love acting. Second, when I saw my mother working in the profession since I was a child, I also prepared myself mentally. I always told my mother that no matter what bad things I experienced in my career, it could not be as difficult and arduous as what she had experienced. That was my thinking when facing difficulties, helping me overcome barriers. My mother is a great motivation for me.
When filming the movie "Di giua troi ruc ro" in Cao Bang, how did your mother support you in the process of portraying the character Chai?
- My mother often says, if you don't understand the script, you can't act, because if you don't understand it, how can the audience understand it? Normally, I rarely call my mother, but when filming, I call her a lot to ask her for advice and to analyze difficult scenes.
On the contrary, my mother rarely calls me when I am filming. She taught me not to use the phone during filming. When my mother calls me, I know it must be something important for her to call. At that time, I feel restless, so I ask the director for 2 minutes to go outside to answer my mother's phone call. Otherwise, I wait until the end of the day or when I finish work to check my phone.

Having a famous artist mother, how does that affect your career path?
- Actually, people often think I feel pressured when my mother is famous. But I don't feel pressured, I feel happy because my mother has contributed a lot to the audience. My mother has worked hard, devoted herself and devoted herself to her career, which is something to be respected and should make me feel happy, not pressured. Whenever asked if I feel pressured because of my mother, I always say I am happy. During my practice, I learned a lot from my mother. I have my mother here to learn from. Maybe many people have to rub shoulders and act in many films to learn lessons. But I am lucky to have my mother convey through words and actions, teaching me many things that cannot be learned from any school.
After becoming famous, how do you feel about maintaining your image both on social media and in real life?
- If I lived my true personality, I would not use social media. I am active and update social media platforms as a way to show gratitude and interact with my audience. Therefore, I do not feel pressured when using social media.
When Chai was loved, many female audiences asked about Long Vu's criteria for choosing a girlfriend? If Long Vu had a girlfriend, but let's say, she was not liked by artist Van Dung, what would you choose?
- At the moment, I want to focus on work, spend time improving myself, and explore the roles I take on. That is my only concern at this stage.
