More to gain than to lose in “Sister Who Makes Wave 2024”
How did the journey to 2024 leave you with feelings?
- My journey in 2024 can be summed up in just two words: "Awesome". I got to do many things that I had planned for a long time, such as the showcase of Duyet's EP, Duyet's physical album... Besides, another wonderful surprise was participating in the program "Sister Who Makes Wave 2024".
Where did Hoang Yen Chibi's decision to participate in "Sister Who Makes Wave 2024" come from? If she doesn't participate, will she regret it?
- When the program invited me, I accepted immediately. Because the first season was last year, I was not old enough, but this year I am eligible to participate. If I did not participate, I would definitely regret it because now, after meeting the remaining 29 Sisters, connecting with everyone, being loved and shared, I feel that this is an extremely correct and wonderful decision.
Since "Sister Who Makes Wave 2024", Hoang Yen Chibi has been loved by many audiences and called "young Sister", what do you think about this comment?
- I think it's true, because if you count the month of birth, I'm still the youngest member, the youngest of the Sisters. So, I'm favored and loved by everyone. I really appreciate this.
At “Sister Who Makes Wave 2024”, Hoang Yen Chibi surprised the audience with her dedication and willingness to spend. Are you going all in on this show?
- I don't know if I'm "going all in" with the program because my criteria is to pass the solo round to the first Performance and I'll be happy. But now, I've completed many Performances. This is beyond my imagination.
So now, wherever I go, I will "fight" and give my all. I want to make Hoang Yen Chibi leave a stronger impression on the audience, and make her voice known and loved by more people.
Besides, I will show you how I have grown up after 10 years on the reality TV show. Whatever the result, I will happily accept it because I have “gained” a lot from the show.
In "Sister Who Makes Wave 2024", how has Hoang Yen Chibi changed in terms of musical thinking and stage performance?
- During the program, I had the opportunity to do many things. Normally, I often compose random music, but during the program, due to time pressure, I didn't think I could write the X-part in such a short time.
I also have more experience performing on stage, especially in groups. Especially how is my image on stage? Before, I didn't pay attention to the details, but now, even when it's not my part to sing, I have to dance and show facial expressions because the camera will catch it, so the overall song will be good. In general, I have changed quite a lot.
Hoang Yen Chibi once talked about staying or going back in "Sister Who Makes Wave 2024", are you still happy?
- To me, this is just a game and meeting everyone is the luckiest thing in my life.
To complete the recent performances, Hoang Yen Chibi must have practiced and put in a lot of effort?
- I have been practicing a lot recently. I feel like I have overcome my fears. I am a little more “daring” because I am actually quite shy.
Like the deep-drop (a performance move) in Performance 3, I had to practice it over and over again. On stage, I had to push myself to be able to do that move.
And there are many more activities that cannot be listed here, but I feel proud of myself for the days of hard training.
Take both acting and music careers seriously
Is Hoang Yen Chibi in need of a break after "Sister Who Makes Wave 2024" or is she ready to take on the challenges of a new show?
- If there is another interesting and suitable reality show, I am still willing to participate. Otherwise, I will take a few days to rest and then continue working on my other work plans and projects.
Hoang Yen Chibi's opinion on forming a group and what did she get after the program?
- For me, it's okay with or without a group. I don't care about being in a group. Because for me, being in the program, being loved by everyone, having the audience listen to and enjoy my music, that's happiness.
For Hoang Yen Chibi at present, is music or acting more important?
- To me, music and acting are equally important. Each field gives me great experiences because I can throw myself into it and "burn" myself out.
Looks like Hoang Yen Chibi is not ready to return with a new role?
- I'm ready to come back with a new role and hope to reveal the information to everyone soon.
In 2025, what does Hoang Yen Chibi expect and what are her plans?
- In 2025, I hope to have new projects that are really attractive and well received and loved by the audience. It's been 5 years since I acted in a movie, so I hope to have a new role that leaves an impression on the audience.
What are Hoang Yen Chibi's plans for Tet?
- This year, my family has a new member, my sister-in-law, so I'm very happy. If there were no show schedule, I would probably go out with my family for Tet, or travel abroad for example.
