The big ceremony is awaited
Activities preparing for the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2 are "heating up" the capital's tourism market, clearly demonstrated by the wave of early bookings. Tourists from the Central region and above, especially big cities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang... eagerly search for information about the A80 festival, booking air tickets, hotel rooms.
Ms. Phuong Anh (30 years old, Ho Chi Minh City) shared: Immediately after participating in the A50 event - a series of inspiring activities from the parade and grand performances in Ho Chi Minh City, I clearly felt the excitement of people everywhere. Thanks to that experience, I decided to book a plane ticket to Hanoi immediately, to experience the true festive atmosphere on the occasion of National Day, September 2 this year.
According to the latest data from the Booking platform, Hanoi has risen to the top of the list of most searched destinations for Vietnamese people, a sharp increase compared to the same period last year (from 7th place to 1st place).
The increased interest in tourist attractions in Hanoi is recorded in all groups of tourists. Specifically, Hanoi tops the search volume of tourists traveling with families (increased from 14th), groups of friends (increased from 9th), couples (increased from 7th) and even tourists traveling alone (increased from 2nd).
According to a survey by Lao Dong Newspaper, some accommodation establishments around Ba Dinh Square have recorded an increase in bookings for September 2.
Ms. Cao Thuy Linh, co-founder of the Chiru Homestay chain, shared: In previous years, our homestays were often full on National Day. But this year, the number of guests increased dramatically and rooms were full very early - right after the April 30 - May 1 holiday. Notably, most of the visitors are from the South and the Central region.
The two facilities in Ngo Thi Nham and Nguyen Thai Hoc have been closed for many days. Most tourists choose to stay from August 30 - the time of the general parade and parade - until September 2. The need does not stop at a resting place but is also associated with the desire to directly immerse themselves in the solemn and vibrant atmosphere of the important celebration.
A similar situation also occurred at the Royal Hotel on Hang Chao Street. The hotel representative said: "We received many booking requests from Southern and Central region guests 2-3 months ago, even without official information about the celebration". With a price of about 400,000 - 500,000 VND/room, up to this point, the hotel has fully booked rooms during the September 2 holiday.
Meanwhile, REY Hotel Hanoi (Ly Nam De Street) also recorded the maximum room occupancy rate. The hotel representative said: "On our booking system, there are currently no empty rooms on the night of September 1. International and domestic visitors both booked rooms very early, showing the special attraction of Hanoi during the festival.
Ready to welcome the wave of tourists
The 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2 is a major milestone, expected to attract a large number of domestic and international tourists to the capital. As one of the largest tourist centers in the country, Hanoi has been actively preparing for this important event.
Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism - Dang Huong Giang said that the capital's tourism industry has been prepared very early, to be able to launch diverse products as well as ensure service quality at new accommodation facilities.
To welcome visitors to the capital on this special occasion, the Hanoi Department of Tourism directs units and businesses to improve the quality of tourism products and upgrade accommodation facilities, especially those in the city center.
"We have built 80 new tours and products based on the city's existing tourist attractions. The purpose is that when visitors come to the capital, they will not only visit the central area but also have the opportunity to experience other places such as: Son Tay, Ba Vi... We have built these routes and products to facilitate tourists, who can travel in one day or two. This will both help visitors have more experience and avoid concentrating too much at one time, which can cause traffic jams and upset customers, said Ms. Dang Huong Giang.
The city also propagates and mobilizes establishments and hotels to open to welcome tourists and people to use free facilities.
In particular, Hanoi is also launching an environmental protection campaign. We hope that people and tourists coming to Hanoi will together demonstrate their love for Hanoi and Vietnam through specific actions, joining hands to protect the environment, dumping garbage in the right place, limiting the use of plastic products and non-recyclable products. We hope this is also a good opportunity to communicate about environmental protection, affirmed the leader of the Hanoi Department of Tourism.
The capital's tourism industry and travel businesses are proactively renewing products, ready to welcome large-scale visitors.
According to the representative of the Hanoi Tourism Association, member businesses are actively improving service quality, standardizing human resources and proactively building appropriate products. In particular, suburban tours such as: Ba Vi, Vietnam Ethnic Culture - Tourism Village, Da Chong - K9 Relic Site or tours to craft villages and heritage discoveries are being developed, contributing to regulating the flow of visitors and increasing cultural - historical experiences for visitors during the festival.
