Choosing digital transformation is a breakthrough
At the First Congress, the 2025 - 2030 term of the commune and ward trade unions is taking place, digital transformation is chosen as one of the breakthroughs. To achieve this goal, it is necessary for 100% of ward union officials to proficiently apply artificial intelligence applications and software to implement and solve work.
Discussing the need to strengthen digital transformation in Trade Union activities - accompanying businesses in sustainable development, a representative of the Trade Union of Tot Lanh Food Company (under the Trade Union of Kim Lien Ward) said that since the past term, to meet the requirements of the new situation, the Company's Trade Union has focused on applying information technology and digital transformation to improve management efficiency and connect union members.
Currently, the Hanoi Branch of the Company has more than 130 officers and workers, including 128 union members. With the determination to transform digitally in Trade Union activities, all 128 union members are managed with union member software, replacing traditional paperwork.
The union applies an online platform in propaganda through maintaining an internal Zalo group, helping to promptly inform policies and movement activities, while receiving feedback and recommendations from union members quickly and conveniently. Trade Union activities have been innovated by organizing a number of online meetings, training, and propaganda, thereby saving costs and making it convenient for workers.
In particular, the Company's Trade Union applies digital in union member welfare, connecting "Union member welfare" programs through online platforms, helping union members easily register and access preferential products and services. Thanks to the application of digital transformation, union member management is tight, saving time and costs; the relationship between union members and the union organization is closer; the prestige of the union in enterprises is increasingly enhanced.

In places such as Phu Dong Commune Trade Union, digital transformation in Trade Union activities is concretized by the goal of having union officials proficient in applying artificial intelligence in handling work by the end of the term.
Enhancing transparency
According to Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Xuan Hung, in the context of national digital transformation and strong administrative reform, the Ward Labor Union needs to identify digital transformation as a key task of breakthrough nature. It is necessary to build a digital union, digitize union member data, and union finances according to the digital transformation policy of the General Confederation of Labor...
Proactively apply technology in work management, communication, propaganda of legal policies, and grasp the thoughts and aspirations of workers through digital platforms. Ward trade unions need to effectively promote modern information channels, especially social networks, to increase interaction and quick response, contributing to increasing transparency, efficiency and closeness in grassroots trade union activities. Thereby, building the image of a modern, flexible, friendly and for-profit Ward Union for union members and workers.
Digital transformation is an inevitable trend. The fact that the Trade Union Congresses of communes and wards under the Hanoi City Labor Federation proactively chose the breakthrough of digital transformation shows the innovation and proactive thinking of the Trade Union staff. This will be very helpful when grasping the area, managing union members and workers well, and affirming the role and position of the Trade Union organization in the 2-level local government model.
