On the afternoon of January 18, a delegation of the State Bank of Vietnam led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong, member of the Party Central Committee and Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, visited and presented Tet gifts to meritorious people, workers, and poor households in Son Dong district, Bac Giang province.
Also attending were Mr. Nguyen Van Gau, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Viet Oanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Bac Giang Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Canh, Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Bac Giang Provincial Labor Federation.
At the program, the State Bank of Vietnam presented 500 gifts and 1 billion VND to carry out social security work, hunger eradication and poverty reduction in Son Dong district; the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor presented 100 gifts (each worth 1 million VND in cash and gifts in kind) to workers in Son Dong district.
Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Hong said that in recent years, implementing the policies of the Party, State and Government, the banking system with its responsibility and affection has actively promoted social security work, contributing positively to hunger eradication and poverty reduction in all regions of the country.
The Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam said that in the coming time, the banking sector will continue to accompany Son Dong district in social security work, bringing a better life to local people.
