Many workers choose to stay in Binh Duong for Tet
This year, many workers chose to stay in Binh Duong to reduce transportation costs. In Thu Dau Mot City, it is expected that tens of thousands of workers will not return home for Tet this year.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong (49 years old, from Nam Dinh, living in Thu Dau Mot City) said: “Traveling during Tet is very expensive, double or triple the usual price. If we go back to our hometown, we have to spend 3-5 million VND on travel expenses. Staying in Binh Duong, we save a small amount of money, and after Tet it will be less difficult. Therefore, this year, my children and I will celebrate Tet in Binh Duong. Next year, we will arrange to take leave on April 30 or in the summer and then return to our hometown later.”
