“In the first 9 months of 2024, 8 new grassroots trade unions were established and 292 new union members were admitted. The trade unions at all levels in Dien Bien province have always paid attention to protecting union members and workers and considered this the top priority in all aspects of trade union work,” Mr. Long emphasized.

However, developing union members and establishing grassroots unions in the non-state enterprise sector still faces many difficulties. Mr. Long hopes to continue receiving cooperation from the Business Association to jointly build a better working environment, thereby attracting more union members to join unions in the non-state enterprise sector.
