The contest was attended by 16 teams with over 100 contestants who are non-professional union officials in agencies and units under the Tua Chua District Labor Federation. The contest was organized in 3 parts, including: greetings; general knowledge contest and situation handling contest.
According to Ms. Lau Thi Thanh Huong - Permanent Vice President of Dien Bien Provincial Labor Federation, the 2024 Excellent Trade Union Cadre Competition is extremely important, contributing to improving the qualifications and capacity of trade union cadres.
At the same time, it contributes to the successful implementation of key tasks and breakthroughs according to the Resolution of the 12th Congress of Dien Bien Trade Union and the 13th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union. In particular, it focuses on building a team of grassroots trade union cadres with sufficient qualities, capacity, and knowledge to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
The contest is also an opportunity for union officials to demonstrate their understanding of the Trade Union Law, the Social Insurance Law, the Vietnam Trade Union Charter, especially the functions, tasks and methods of operation of the Trade Union organization.
In addition, the contest also creates conditions for union officials to exchange and share experiences in work and life, increasingly strengthening solidarity and attachment to each other.
At the end of the contest, the organizing committee awarded 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes, 10 Encouragement Prizes and 3 Consolation Prizes. The team from the Economic - General Trade Union won the First Prize.
On this occasion, the Standing Committee of the Tua Chua District Labor Federation also awarded certificates of merit to 2 collectives and 3 individuals with outstanding achievements in organizing the contest.
