Implementing the plan of the Standing Committee of the Dien Bien Provincial Federation of Labor (LDL) on organizing the "Excellent Trade Union Officials" Contest in 2024, the Labor Federations of districts, towns and cities have successfully organized the "Excellent Trade Union Officials" Contest in units and localities.
According to the assessment of the leaders of the Dien Bien Provincial Federation of Labor, the contests in districts, towns and cities were all held enthusiastically, receiving much attention and support from union members, cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers.
Coming to the contest for excellent union officials, all units tried to convey information related to professional practice; problem-solving skills and grassroots propaganda work on the rights and obligations of union members and workers.
Mr. Nguyen Cao Cuong - Chairman of the Labor Federation of Dien Bien Dong District, Dien Bien Province - said that to organize this year's contest, not many units registered to participate in the contest due to the tasks they were still having to perform. Besides, the time for the contestants to practice was limited...
"However, the participating units were all enthusiastic and had a high sense of responsibility when participating in the contest. Therefore, the Organizing Committee, the Jury and the Secretariat worked very objectively and fairly when scoring and awarding prizes to the participating teams," said Mr. Cuong.
According to Ms. Lau Thi Thanh Huong - Permanent Vice President of Dien Bien Provincial Labor Federation, the "Excellent Trade Union Official" contest at trade unions at all levels is a broad political activity, helping union officials, employees, and workers to have a deeper understanding of the role and position of the Trade Union organization as well as to grasp the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws and policies.
In addition, this is also an opportunity for each cadre and union member to improve their knowledge of the Trade Union Law, Labor Code, Social Insurance Law, Health Insurance Law... and the charter, instructions for implementing the Charter of Vietnam Trade Union; Resolution of the 13th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union; Resolution of the 12th Congress of Dien Bien Provincial Trade Union and key programs and activities of the trade union organization for the 2023 - 2028 term.
"Through the "Excellent Trade Union Officer" Competition at all levels, union members have the opportunity to exchange, learn and practice, improve their skills and professional qualifications, meeting the requirements and tasks of the trade union organization in the new situation" - Ms. Huong added.
The provincial “Excellent Trade Union Officer” contest organized by the Dien Bien Provincial Labor Federation took place over 2 days (October 21-22) and attracted 14 teams with nearly 100 contestants. The teams will go through 3 rounds: Greeting, general knowledge, and situation handling.
Mr. Tan Minh Long - Chairman of the Dien Bien Provincial Federation of Labor - said that at this contest, the Organizing Committee required that the participating teams must uphold the spirit of solidarity and openness to learning. One of the important criteria is to have a firm grasp of knowledge and skills in handling situations; to prepare carefully, promote creativity, and participate in the contests with the highest results.
The Organizing Committee, the Jury and the Secretariat must uphold their sense of responsibility, direct and run the competition seriously; study and thoroughly understand the competition plan and rules to properly evaluate the results of the teams, ensuring objectivity, impartiality and accuracy.
