On December 30, Lap Vo District Labor Federation held the 5th Conference of the District Labor Federation Executive Committee (term XIII), summarizing Union activities and emulation movements in 2024.

In 2024, the district's Trade Unions at all levels focused on innovation and flexibility in implementing activities to care for union members and workers. Notable activities included taking care of Tet for 3,220 union members and workers with a total amount of more than 3 billion VND; actively mobilizing union members and workers to support people affected by storm No. 3 with an amount of more than 800 million VND; handing over 3 Union Shelters to union members with difficult housing circumstances; organizing "Union Meals" at 23 units; establishing 2 new grassroots trade unions in non-state enterprises, developing 390 union members, bringing the total to 98 grassroots trade unions, with 3,665 union members.
Cultural and sports activities were organized enthusiastically and practically on the occasion of Workers' Month, commemorating the 95th anniversary of the founding of Vietnam Trade Union such as volleyball tournament, Sports Festival, game show "Ring the Golden Bell".
At the same time, many new models and effective methods have been built to create bright spots in the Union's activities, such as establishing 16 sports and fitness clubs with more than 650 union members and employees participating; maintaining the "model of encouraging learning and talent" among union members and employees. Thereby, 318 scholarships and more than 4,000 notebooks have been supported from the savings of union members.

Speaking at the Conference, Ms. Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui - Provincial Party Committee member, President of Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor - highly appreciated the achievements of the district's Trade Unions. To continue improving the quality of Trade Union activities, Ms. Vui hopes that in the coming time, Trade Unions at all levels will focus on further improving the work of caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of members and employees; pay attention to innovating trade union communication work in a fast and accessible direction, making the most of visual images and social networks to build new models and operating spaces to bring the Trade Union's message to members and employees.

On this occasion, 6 collectives and 4 individuals received comprehensive and specialized Certificates of Merit from the Provincial Federation of Labor Executive Committee; 30 collectives and 54 individuals received comprehensive and specialized Certificates of Merit from the District Federation of Labor Executive Committee.
