On October 18, the Trade Union of Dong Thap Industrial Parks and Economic Zones in coordination with Phuong Chau Sa Dec Hospital (Sa Dec City - Dong Thap) organized free health check-ups for female union members and workers in industrial parks in the province.
According to the registration list, in 2 days (October 18-19), 200 female union members and workers received health check-ups with many practical contents such as: blood pressure, ear, nose and throat; maxillofacial; eyes; ultrasound of thyroid, breast, uterus, abdomen; complete blood cell analysis, cytology smear, chest X-ray... It is known that the total cost of the medical examination program is 175 million VND, taken from the financial resources of Phuong Chau Sa Dec Hospital.
A quick note after this medical examination showed that all union members and workers were moved and excited by the dedication and thoughtfulness of the doctors, medical staff of Phuong Chau Sa Dec Hospital and the Union officials of Dong Thap industrial parks and economic zones throughout the medical examination process.
Union members and workers thanked the attention and care of the Trade Union organizations of industrial parks. At the same time, they expressed their hope that the Trade Union organizations would continue to promote and coordinate to organize more health check-up programs for union members and workers to contribute to reducing the incidence of diseases among union members and workers, thereby helping to improve labor efficiency, production, work, and contribute to the development of enterprises.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan - Chairman of the Trade Union of Dong Thap Industrial Parks and Economic Zones - said that this is a practical program in the context of the income of most union members and workers in industrial parks being affected. "The program helps union members and workers grasp their health status, have timely treatment if they are sick, so that they can work, produce and work with peace of mind. This activity also helps the Trade Union of Dong Thap Industrial Parks and Economic Zones to better perform its representative function, care for the lives, protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers, and create more concern from business owners for union members and workers of their companies," Mr. Nhan further emphasized.
Previously, in July 2024, on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union, the Trade Union of Dong Thap Industrial Parks and Economic Zones coordinated with Phuong Chau Sa Dec Hospital to organize health check-ups and consultations for 50 pregnant female union members in difficult circumstances working in Dong Thap industrial parks. The cost was over 65 million VND.
