On the afternoon of October 5, the Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor announced that Gia Lai Trade Unions at all levels have 1 team with a total of 22 people participating in the "Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament 2024".
The team was selected from workers directly involved in production and business at An Khe Sugar Factory.
Over the past few days, the athletes of the whole team have been actively practicing to prepare themselves mentally. Currently, the whole team is ready to participate in the qualifying round of region 3 taking place in Nghe An province from October 11 to 13, 2024.
Participating in the qualifying round of region 3 in Nghe An province are 11 football teams from the Trade Union levels of provinces such as Binh Dinh, Dau Khi, Gia Lai, Khanh Hoa, Quang Nam Water Supply and Drainage, Nghe An, Quang Nam, Phu Yen, Quang Ngai...
Coming to this year's tournament, the Gia Lai Provincial Trade Union's football team participated with the goal of competing, exchanging experiences, strengthening solidarity and improving health.
In addition, participating in the playground is also an opportunity for the football team to exchange and share experiences in production and labor. Thereby, contributing to the mass sports movement among workers, civil servants and laborers.
The 2024 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament is jointly organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Tuoi Tre Newspaper and the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).
The tournament is organized in the format of 7-a-side football. The competition rules are issued by VFF. This year's tournament brings together more than 60 participating teams, representing provincial/municipal trade unions, industry trade unions and business trade unions across the country.
The tournament will go through 2 rounds. Of which, the qualifying round will be held from September to October 2024 in 4 regions: Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Nghe An, Bac Ninh.
The 16 best teams in the qualifying round will qualify for the national finals, which will take place in November in Hanoi.
The total prize money is up to 930 million VND. Of which, the regional qualifying round champion receives 50 million VND; the national final round champion receives 150 million VND.
