From July 19 to August 6, at the Provincial Labor Culture House, the Provincial Labor Union coordinated with the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism to organize the Labor Union's Sports Festival for workers, civil servants, and laborers in 2024 to welcome the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (July 28, 1929-July 28, 2024).
The sports festival attracted the participation of over 500 athletes, who are officials, union members, and laborers from 18 grassroots trade unions affiliated with the Provincial Labor Union; the athletes competed in 5 sports disciplines: badminton, table tennis, volleyball, tug-of-war, and sack jumping.
Mr. Le Quang Toan, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Union, stated that the sports festival was organized to create a vibrant competitive atmosphere among union members and laborers, develop the physical education and sports movement, improve health, and encourage laborers in the province to enthusiastically compete in labor production, strive to overcome difficulties, and achieve the assigned tasks, strengthen solidarity and mutual understanding among units.
After a lively competition period, with a spirit of sportsmanship, solidarity, truthfulness, and high morality, the athletes have contributed to the audience many exciting and suspenseful matches, leaving a good impression.
At the conclusion of the sports festival, the Organizing Committee awarded 15 First Prizes, 15 Second Prizes, 27 Third Prizes, and medals to athletes with outstanding achievements in the competition contents of various disciplines; awarded the First Prize for the entire delegation to the Provincial Health Department Trade Union.
