On September 4, at the DT Khanh Hoa Bird's Nest - Seaweed Factory, the D&T Group Trade Union in collaboration with the Khanh Hoa Provincial Red Cross Society organized a voluntary blood donation day .
Before entering the blood donation festival, the business leaders together with the Chairman of the Labor Union of the Agriculture and Rural Development Sector of Khanh Hoa province, the staff of the Red Cross Society and all employees of D&T group performed the flag-raising ceremony at the beginning of the month after the September 2nd holiday.
The first voluntary blood donation festival was launched by D&T Group's Union and held right at the factory, receiving the support and response of the entire Board of Directors and 70 union members and workers of the company participating.
Mr. Mai Huu Hoi - Chairman of D&T Group Trade Union, said - Established in December 2023, the Company's Trade Union has been operating in a disciplined manner. Responding to the "Red Journey" program in 2024, the Trade Union launched a voluntary blood donation activity.
Many union members who donated blood for the first time were nervous, but most of all, they were motivated to help save lives. Some union members working at a seaweed processing factory in Vinh Luong commune, nearly 20km from the headquarters, volunteered to ride their motorbikes to participate.
Through this activity, the Union aims to not only contribute to the provincial blood bank but also spread the spirit of volunteerism among union members, officers and employees of D&T Group. From here, it will create a premise for blood donation to gradually become a cultural beauty in the life of each union member and employee.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Duy - General Director of D&T Group, shared: "Organizing the blood donation program to save lives is very meaningful. I personally participate with the hope that my blood drops will be useful to patients in need and spread to all employees my participation in the culture of sharing love."
According to Mr. Duy, in building corporate culture, the Company has coordinated with mass organizations to maintain the flag-raising ceremony at the beginning of the month with more than 300 workers at 2 factories to fuel the love for the country. After the flag-raising ceremony, there will be a meeting with workers to listen to their thoughts, opinions and suggestions so that the work can be done more effectively.
With the motto of developing with people as the foundation, the enterprise has been spreading the spirit of community, building workers with a volunteer heart. Since the beginning of the year, the enterprise has coordinated with the Trade Union to organize for union members and employees to directly participate in the week of providing water and bird's nest for workers returning to work after Tet holiday at the company's 2 factories located on National Highway 1A; participating in planting trees, collecting plastic waste in the locality; giving many gifts to poor patients, bicycles to children in difficult circumstances at schools in the province...
