On the afternoon of October 17, the Chau Thanh District Labor Federation (Kien Giang Province) coordinated with the Vietnam Women's Union of Chau Thanh District to organize a meeting to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 2024).
At the meeting, delegates reviewed the glorious tradition of many generations of Vietnamese women and looked back at the outstanding achievements of female workers and women's activities at all levels of the Trade Union in the district.
Outstanding as organizing many practical activities for female employees with rich and diverse content, attracting a large number of female employees to participate. Activities to care for the lives, protect the legitimate rights and interests of female employees are of interest to the Union at all levels.
Regularly pay attention to directing and guiding qualified grassroots trade unions to establish, consolidate, improve and enhance the quality of activities of the Women's Union to effectively carry out the work of mobilizing female employees at the grassroots level.
The emulation movement “Good at public work, good at housework” associated with the movement “Women actively study, work creatively, build happy families” was actively launched by the Trade Unions at all levels. Female employees have made many contributions to the overall socio-economic development of the locality and unit.
Mr. Tan Thanh Huy - Vice Chairman of Chau Thanh District People's Committee - congratulated the women on Vietnamese Women's Day. The Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee also commended, acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of the women in the past time and requested the District Labor Federation and the District Women's Union to focus on performing well the task of supporting and creating conditions for women to participate in economic development.
