On the afternoon of October 23, the Kien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor visited, encouraged and provided support to the family of union member Tran Thi Ha, a teacher at My Lam Secondary School. The house the union member was renting in Vinh Quang Ward, Rach Gia City unfortunately caught fire.

Ms. Ha said that the fire broke out on the afternoon of October 17. No one in her family was home. She was taking her young daughter to the provincial general hospital for treatment. The fire destroyed a corner of the house and some of the family's household items.

The family of Tran Thi Ha is in a particularly difficult situation. Her husband has no stable job and her two children are still of school age. The older child is in 12th grade and the younger child is in 8th grade but has scoliosis and is being treated at the provincial General Hospital.

The house she is currently living in is also a rental house, but an incident happened and a colleague helped her stay temporarily.

During the visit, Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Federation of Labor Pham Van Dang also sent his regards and encouragement to union member Ha and her family and presented 2 million VND in support. Previously, the My Lam Secondary School Union had also mobilized union members to contribute nearly 10 million VND to support union member Ha.
