On October 9, the Kien Giang Provincial Civil Servants' Union and the Radio and Television Station Trade Union organized the handover of the Union Shelter to union member Danh Phien.
The house built in Vinh Phu commune, Giong Rieng district, Kien Giang province cost 80 million VND. Of this, the Kien Giang Trade Union Shelter Fund supported 50 million VND, the remaining amount was contributed by colleagues and union members' families.
Doan member Danh Phien (born in 1986) is currently an announcer for the Khmer language editorial department, Kien Giang Radio and Television Station. His circumstances are difficult, his wife is a housewife, his two children are still young, and his mother is old and weak, so all living expenses depend on Phien's salary. The previous house was also damaged and seriously degraded, causing many difficulties and inconveniences in daily life.
At the house handover ceremony, union member Danh Phien shared: “I am very happy and sincerely thank the leaders of the Station, the Provincial Federation of Labor, the Civil Servants' Union, and my colleagues for supporting and creating favorable conditions for me to build a house like this. This is a great motivation for me to feel secure in my work, continue to strive, and do my best to complete the tasks assigned by the agency.”
Chairman of the Kien Giang Provincial Civil Servants’ Union Nguyen Quoc Hung congratulated union member Danh Phien on his new stable home. Mr. Hung also hoped that union members would preserve, maintain and renovate the house if possible to ensure long-term use.
The Chairman of the Provincial Civil Servants' Trade Union hopes that union members will continue to make efforts, strive, overcome difficulties, successfully complete assigned tasks, and actively participate in union movements.
On this occasion, the Trade Union of Kien Giang Radio and Television Station also congratulated and presented a housewarming gift to union member Danh Phien and a bicycle to the union member's child.
