On October 14, the Kien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor (FLD) held a meeting with female union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers in difficult circumstances who have made great efforts and strived to improve their lives and successfully completed their assigned tasks.
Trade Unions at all levels in the province have well organized activities to care for the lives, protect the legitimate rights and interests of female workers. Accordingly, they have visited and supported hundreds of female union members and workers in difficult circumstances, those suffering from serious illnesses, supported the construction and repair of 45 Trade Union Shelters with a total amount of over 1.8 billion VND; tested, screened for cancer, examined gynecology and provided health consultation for more than 1,950 female workers and workers...
Kien Giang Trade Union also implemented many patriotic emulation movements among female union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers, focusing on the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at housework" associated with the movement "Building Vietnamese Women of the new era". Many effective women's union activity models include: Model of financial support to encourage female workers to self-study to improve their qualifications; support female workers to give birth; sponsor poor students, students in especially difficult circumstances, giving birthday gifts to female union members...
Regardless of the field of work, women always uphold a positive working spirit and attitude, study to improve their qualifications, expertise, and skills, and apply new and good things.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Pham Van Dang - Permanent Vice President of the Kien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor - acknowledged and commended the contributions of female union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers at all levels of the provincial Union in their efforts to successfully complete assigned tasks in each position of work, labor, and study; at the same time, encouraged, shared, and commended the efforts of female union members and laborers in difficult circumstances to overcome difficulties and rise up.
The leaders of the Kien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor hope that female union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers will continue to promote the good moral qualities of Vietnamese women: "Confidence - Self-respect - Loyalty - Responsibility". The Kien Giang Labor Union will continue to innovate the content and methods of women's activities in all levels of the Union in a practical and effective manner, closely linked to the interests of female union members and laborers; promote the emulation movement "Good at public affairs, good at housework"; continue to research and build models of women's activities suitable to the actual conditions of all types of grassroots unions, especially enterprise-based unions, in order to meet the needs and aspirations of female union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers in the province.
On this occasion, the Provincial Federation of Labor presented gifts to 47 women representing thousands of female union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers who exemplify the will to overcome difficulties and rise up despite facing any difficult circumstances in life.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor awarded Certificates of Merit to 7 collectives in the Education and Training sector with outstanding achievements in implementing the emulation movement "Good at public work - Good at housework" in the 2023 - 2024 school year.
