On October 17, the Kien Giang Provincial Civil Servants' Union organized a thematic meeting with female union officials from provincial agencies, departments and branches. The meeting was part of a series of activities to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 2024).
The content of the activities is about gender equality in the family, the agency and the role of mothers and wives in the family; providing guidance, consulting, health care and beauty for women. Thereby, the grassroots trade unions of agencies and units strengthen the supervision of the implementation of policies and laws for female union members and workers and coordinate with the leaders of agencies and units to create the best conditions for female union members to strive, contribute, mature, and promote their roles in performing assigned tasks. At the same time, propaganda aims to change the gender stereotypes that still exist in society, pay attention to training and fostering for female union members, create the best working conditions, and improve the spiritual life of female union members, civil servants, public employees, and workers.
At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hung - Chairman of the Kien Giang Provincial Civil Servants' Union - sent his best wishes to female union officials on the occasion of Vietnamese Women's Day, October 20.
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hung emphasized that female civil servants, public employees and workers are the core force in the women's movement, an inseparable part of the working class and the Vietnam Trade Union organization.
In recent times, female union members in agencies and units have always strived, been creative, constantly researching, studying, improving their qualifications, expertise, professional skills, and skills. Through the emulation movements "Good workers, creative workers", the movement "Good at public work, good at housework" associated with the movement "Women actively study, work creatively, build happy families" has raised awareness of gender equality, demonstrating the role and responsibility of women in society and in the family.
"This thematic activity also aims to contribute to innovating the internal and operational methods of the Trade Union, especially women's work, gathering and attracting female union members, civil servants, public employees, and workers to actively participate in activities launched by the Trade Union organization," Mr. Hung added.
