1,300 works participate in the Lam Dong Trade Union Journalism Award

Lam Dong - The Provincial Labor Federation has just organized a summary and award ceremony for the "Workers' Movement and Trade Union Activities" Press Award.

On January 16, Lam Dong Provincial Federation of Labor announced that the unit had just organized the summary of the "Workers' Movement and Trade Union Activities" Press Award.

The press award "Workers' movement and trade union activities" is organized by the unit in coordination with the Lam Dong Provincial Journalists Association every 2 years.

This is the second time the unit has coordinated to organize. This press award will take place in 2023 and 2024. This award has more than 500 authors who are union officials at all levels, union members, workers and professional press reporters, and members of the Journalists Association participating.

Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the Press Award, Mr. Le Van Toa - Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Journalists Association affirmed that this award was successful, achieving the goals and expectations of the provincial trade union.

Mr. Toa assessed that the entries reflected many good practices, effective models, and typical examples of cadres, union members, workers, and trade unions at all levels in the province.

Many works closely follow the grassroots, reflecting the movement of emulation and innovation in labor production, contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality. In particular, the outstanding results in "Innovation and efficiency in trade union activities" are clearly demonstrated.

Mr. Toa emphasized that the works truly reflect the workers' movement and trade union activities, especially in caring for the material and spiritual life, developing union members and trade union organizations in enterprises, ethnic minority areas and disadvantaged areas.

"Many authors who are union members and union officials at all levels have produced high-quality works that deeply reflect the lives, work, and aspirations of workers," Mr. Le Van Toa emphasized.

As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded 11 press photo prizes, 21 prizes for written works by union officials, union members, and workers, and 15 prizes for professional authors. The total prize money for this Press Award is over 90 million VND.

On this occasion, Lam Dong Provincial Federation of Labor also awarded Certificates of Merit to 5 collectives with outstanding achievements in participating.
