They are union officials, union members, civil servants, public employees or workers in Bao Loc city. Despite their different professions, fields of work and labor, they all volunteer to donate blood with the thought of "loving others as you love yourself".
Ms. Do Thi Thanh Doai, a teacher at Pham Hong Thai Primary School, excitedly said that she has donated blood 8 times.
Every time the union launched a campaign, she immediately signed up to participate. In her unit, many other union members also responded, and each time, the number of participants exceeded the number mobilized by the higher-level union.
“We are very happy and proud to donate our “red drops” to help the unfortunate. It is also our small contribution, joining hands to bring faith and happiness to everyone” - Ms. Do Thi Thanh Doai shared.
Chairman of the Bao Loc City Labor Federation - Mr. Nguyen Van Manh said that every year, the unit coordinates with the Red Cross to mobilize 3-4 blood donation campaigns. Each campaign exceeds the target of the number of blood units collected by the provincial voluntary blood donation steering committee.
According to Mr. Manh, the unit has just mobilized a voluntary blood donation campaign in response to the campaign "Mobilizing voluntary blood donation in the spring of At Ty and the Red Spring Festival" in 2025.
In this program, the unit mobilized many sponsors to respond, participate, and accompany blood donors. Therefore, union members, association members, and employees participating in blood donation were supported with free breakfast and many meaningful gifts.
More than 500 officials, union members, association members and workers participated in voluntary blood donation. As a result, the organizing committee collected 256 units of blood to help save lives of medical facilities in the province.
“The trade unions at the grassroots units have done a good job of propaganda and mobilization and have many forms of timely encouragement. This activity has become a widespread movement among cadres, union members, association members and workers in Bao Loc,” said Mr. Nguyen Van Manh.
