On December 1, Mr. Nguyen Canh Minh - Chairman of the Dam Rong District Labor Federation said that the unit had just held an extended Executive Committee meeting to summarize union activities in 2024.
“We have completed early and exceeded all targets assigned by the Lam Dong Provincial Federation of Labor in 2024. In the past time, the unit has organized many practical activities, entering the lives of union members and workers in the locality” - Mr. Nguyen Canh Minh expressed.
According to Mr. Minh, activities to represent and protect the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers are given attention and focus. Grassroots unions proactively coordinate to build and implement grassroots democracy regulations.
As a result, 100% of agencies and units with trade unions organized conferences for civil servants and enterprises with trade unions organized conferences for workers. The Dam Rong District Labor Federation promptly visited, encouraged and presented more than 100 gifts to union members and workers facing difficulties and natural disasters, with a total value of more than 50 million VND.
Disbursed 570 million VND to union members and workers in difficult circumstances to borrow capital to develop their family economy... The unit supported 3 union members' families in difficult circumstances with 150 million VND to build "Union Shelter" houses.
Dam Rong District Labor Federation organizes many cultural, sports, football, volleyball activities, creating a healthy playground and exchange for union members and workers...
In addition to taking care of union members and workers, the union also mobilized resources to build solar-powered power lines. The 1.2km power line was handed over and put into use at a value of more than 73 million VND.
“This project has the support and contribution of many union members and workers in the district. This is the joint effort and contribution of the trade union organization in building new rural areas,” Mr. Nguyen Canh Minh affirmed.
The Chairman of the Dam Rong District Labor Federation added that through these movements and activities, union members and workers have become more attached to the union. There have been many new models and creative ways of doing things, bringing practical results in union activities.
“On this occasion, we have awarded 3 groups and 9 individuals. At the same time, we propose that the Lam Dong Provincial Federation of Labor award 2 groups and 3 individuals. These are typical examples in 2024, deserving to be commended and spread in trade union activities,” said Mr. Nguyen Canh Minh.
