Lam Dong - The Provincial Labor Culture House opened the table tennis tournament in response to the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival in 2024, with more than 100 workers participating.

Director of Lam Dong Provincial Labor Culture House - Mr. Tran Duc Hai said that more than 100 athletes participating in this tournament are union members, workers and civil servants.

This is a grassroots tournament for union members and workers. The unit regularly organizes competitions for union members and workers to exchange, compete, and improve their expertise.

According to Mr. Hai, most union members and workers participate in table tennis clubs at the Labor Culture House and other clubs in the province.

This tournament is in response to the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival. Along with athletes in the province, there are also union members and workers from other localities who have registered to participate.

"This is also an opportunity for Lam Dong athletes to exchange and learn from union members and workers outside the province," Mr. Tran Duc Hai affirmed.

The Director of the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Culture House added that the tournament will take place over 2 days, December 14-15, 2024, with 4 competition events. There will be more than 50 matches of athletes in the competition events.

The tournament has the following competition categories: women's teams from 30 years old and up; men's teams from 40 years old and up; advanced mixed men's and women's teams and amateur men's and women's teams.

Mr. Nguyen Tat Thanh Dat - a member of Phu Dong Table Tennis Club - shared that the athletes were very excited to participate in this tournament. This is a mass sport activity but has profound meaning.

“Every day, after stressful working hours, we gather at the Cultural House. This is a common home for us to practice and improve our health.

It is also a place to nurture highly skilled athletes and spread the sports movement among union members and workers" - Mr. Nguyen Tat Thanh Dat expressed.
