In order to take care of the lives of cadres, union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers, in 2024, Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation supported the construction and repair of 37 "Union Shelter" houses with a total value of more than 1.2 billion VND (including 22 new houses and 15 repaired houses).
The beneficiaries are union members with difficult housing circumstances, in which the repair support fund is 25 million VND/house and the new construction fund is 50 million VND/house.
According to the leader of Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation, the amount of money supported to build and repair a house is not large, but this is the motivation to help many union members in difficulty realize their dream of settling down and having a career, creating confidence, motivation to work with peace of mind, and strive to complete assigned tasks well.
The housing program “Union Shelter” has become a social activity with widespread influence, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, mutual love and mutual assistance with union members in difficulty. Through the program, the role and position of Lao Cai Trade Union in caring for the material and spiritual life of union members and employees is increasingly affirmed, contributing to the effective implementation of social security and poverty reduction work in the area.
