At the 2024 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament jointly organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Vietnam Football Federation and Tuoi Tre Newspaper, the Nghe An Trade Union Football Team participated with 22 members.
Of which, 18 players are workers, civil servants, and laborers selected from units and businesses in the province.
Speaking at the launch, Mr. Thai Minh Sy - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation, Head of the Nghe An Trade Union Football Team - shared that, promoting the tradition of his hometown with high determination, in the previous season, the Nghe An Trade Union Football Team won the top spot in the region 2 and participated in the national finals.
This season, the team aims to achieve a high position in the regional qualifying round to win a ticket to the final round held in Hanoi.
The leaders of the Provincial Federation of Labor hope that the Nghe An Trade Union football team will actively practice and compete with all their heart, with beautiful matches and noble sportsmanship.
After the ceremony, the Nghe An Trade Union football team had a friendly match with young players of Song Lam Nghe An club to best prepare for the upcoming matches.
Participating in the qualifying round of region 3 in Nghe An province are 11 Union football teams, including: Nghe An, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Quang Nam, Phu Yen, Nam Dinh, Gia Lai, Petroleum Union, Logistics - Engineering of People's Public Security, Quang Nam Water Supply and Drainage Company.
