On the afternoon of February 17, the Quang Binh Education Trade Union held a Conference to review trade union activities in the first semester of the 2024-2025 school year.
Ms. Do Thi Que - Chairwoman of the Quang Binh Education Trade Union (CDNGD) said that after nearly 80 years of establishment and development, the Quang Binh Education Trade Union has made important contributions to taking care of the lives of cadres, teachers, and workers (CBNGNLD), accompanying the professional innovation of education.
Quang Binh Trade Union currently directly manages 40 grassroots trade unions with a total of 2,358 employees, of which 1,581 are female (accounting for 67.05%). The material and spiritual life of teachers is always concerned through the full implementation of policies, especially the new salary policy from July 1, 2024, an increase of 30% compared to the old salary.
However, newly promoted teachers, administrative staff and non-public workers still face many difficulties. The implementation of Decree 73 is not uniform in the whole province, so there are still many concerns of some contract teachers and workers. Solving the problem of housing for teachers still faces many difficulties.
Every year, on the occasion of the celebration of Vietnamese Teachers' Day on November 20, the Industry Union coordinates with the Department of Education and Training to organize activities to express gratitude and support teachers in difficult circumstances. The Trade Union mobilized support for 141 teachers and workers with a total budget of 302 million VND, giving gifts to teachers in disadvantaged areas, and giving teaching equipment to schools in remote areas.
In addition, on the occasion of Lunar New Year, the Industry Union organized the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng", giving gifts to hundreds of teachers and students in difficult circumstances. The grassroots trade union promptly visited 1,562 teachers and workers who were sick, had accidents, and were at risk of difficult circumstances, with an amount of nearly 600 million VND.
