There are 100 delegates who are heads and deputy heads of the Provincial Federation of Labor's professional departments; leaders of the Federations of Labor of districts, towns, cities, industry unions and equivalent, and grassroots unions under the Provincial Federation of Labor.
During one day, delegates will be trained on environmental protection and instructions on waste collection, classification and treatment such as the Law on Environmental Protection; legal documents related to the management of natural resources, environment and issues related to climate change; instructions on waste classification at source, reducing the use of plastic bags and plastic products...; responsibilities of trade unions in environmental protection.
In addition, 25 trash bins were supported for the Provincial Federation of Labor, District, Town, City Federations of Labor, Industry Unions and equivalent, and affiliated Trade Unions to classify trash.
According to Vice Chairman of the Soc Trang Provincial Federation of Labor Le Van Phai, the training aims to raise awareness and responsibility of cadres, union members, employees and trade unions at all levels on the Party's guidelines, policies, the State's laws and the direction of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee on environmental protection in the province; promote the green - clean - beautiful movement, occupational safety and hygiene and environmental protection in agencies, units and enterprises more effectively.
Mr. Phai said that this is also an activity to concretize Plan No. 05/KH-LDLD of the Provincial Labor Federation to implement the national strategy on green growth for the period 2021-2030. This plan sets out the main tasks and solutions to raise awareness among union members and workers about the role and significance of economic development towards green growth, environmental protection and sustainable development. Towards a safe working environment, minimizing occupational accidents and diseases.
