On December 9, the emulation bloc of Thai Binh province's trade unions held a conference to summarize emulation work in 2024, deploy tasks, and sign emulation covenants for 2025.
The emulation bloc consists of 7 industry unions, managing 278 grassroots unions (UCs) with a total of 61,475 union members. In 2024, the emulation movement of the bloc closely followed the tasks of the Provincial Union, focusing on activities of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers.
Industry unions have effectively implemented grassroots democracy regulations; paid attention to organizing negotiations, signing and supervising the implementation of collective labor agreements at enterprises; increased dialogue, promptly resolved opinions and recommendations of union members and employees.
Industry unions presented 5,183 gifts to union members and employees with a total amount of over VND 2.1 billion in the program "Tet sum vay - Xuan chia chia"; supported 30 union members and employees whose working hours were reduced and whose labor contracts were terminated with a total amount of VND 30 million; and participated in supporting the "Union Shelter" fund with a total amount of over VND 536 million.
At the same time, the organization awarded funding to support 7 union members with difficult housing circumstances with the amount of 350 million VND.
On the occasion of Workers' Month 2024, trade unions of all sectors presented 662 gifts to outstanding union members; union members and workers in difficult circumstances; union members and workers who suffered work-related accidents or occupational diseases with a total amount of over 330 million VND. The work of caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of female employees is maintained regularly. Trade unions under the sectors have organized propaganda on labor law, the Law on Gender Equality, and the Law on Prevention of Domestic Violence for thousands of female employees.
Industry unions also organized awards for more than 1,100 children of union members and employees who overcame difficulties to study well in the 2023-2024 school year with a total amount of more than 449 million VND; Union branches under the bloc organized awards and gifts for 36,233 children of union members and employees who studied well and overcame difficulties to study well with a total amount of over 7.6 billion VND.
Coordinate with the professional organization to launch patriotic emulation movements among union members and employees. Through emulation movements, the capacity, intelligence and sense of responsibility of union members and employees in labor and production have been promoted. The entire industry union has 2,770 initiatives recognized and applied in practice, bringing in billions of dong in benefits.
