Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Ms. Do Thi Hien - Provincial Party Committee Member, Chairwoman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Labor Federation; leaders of departments and agencies, along with a large number of union members and workers.
The sports festival is organized in a joyful, exciting, and practical atmosphere in response to Workers' Month 2026, towards the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress and the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu acknowledged and praised the efforts of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Trade Union in caring for the physical health and spiritual life of union members and workers. At the same time, encouraged workers and civil servants to exercise their health and effectively participate in the emulation movement "Good labor, good productivity, high income".
This year's sports festival attracted 95 delegations, with 897 athletes who are officials, union members, and workers participating in competing in the sports: pickleball, volleyball and tug of war.
The sports festival is organized in 3 areas, including: the North in Bac Kan ward, the central area and the South in Song Cong ward.
With the spirit of "Solidarity - Honesty - Nobility - Progress", the athletes brought exciting and attractive matches.

Also today, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu and the working delegation attended the inauguration ceremony and attached the "Trade Union Shelter" sign to union member Tran Thi Thu Thuy - Trade Union of Song Cong Hospital.
Union member Tran Thi Thu Thuy is in difficult circumstances, having to live in a rented house with her family for many years.
The Thai Nguyen Provincial Labor Federation has supported 60 million VND from the "Trade Union Shelter" Fund to help the family build a new spacious house and stabilize their lives.

The project started in October 2025, with a total budget of over 900 million VND, and has now been completed and put into use.
This is not only a meaningful home but also a great source of encouragement for union members to feel secure in their work and continue to strive to successfully complete the assigned tasks.
The program shows the deep concern of the trade union organization for union members and workers in difficult circumstances. From there, it contributes to spreading the spirit of solidarity, sharing and practical care for union members.
