Attending the launching ceremony were Mr. Vo Manh Son - Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor, Ms. Trinh Thi Hoa - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor, representatives of the leaders of the affiliated departments and 17 players selected from thousands of players from units and enterprises in the area.
According to the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor, the Vietnam Civil Servants Football Tournament is jointly organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and Tuoi Tre Newspaper in the format of 7-a-side football and the competition rules issued by the VFF.
The tournament is organized under the Labor Federation system, bringing together more than 60 participating teams from provincial and municipal unions, industry unions and enterprises across the country. The tournament will have 2 rounds, the qualifying round will be held from September to October 2024 in 4 regions including Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Nghe An, and Bac Ninh.
Thanh Hoa Trade Union Football Team, Region 1, with the participation of 16 teams, will compete from October 18 to 20 in Bac Ninh province. Next, the 16 best teams in the qualifying round will qualify for the national final round, taking place in November in Hanoi.
Speaking at the departure ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Minh Canh - Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor said that before participating in the 2024 Vietnam Civil Servants Football Tournament, Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor assigned the Nghi Son Economic Zone Trade Union and Thanh Hoa Provincial Industrial Zones to establish a football team and participate in training.
“After a period of training, today the team officially sets out to compete in Bac Ninh province. I hope that the whole team will promote the spirit of solidarity, noble sportsmanship and achieve the highest possible results,” Mr. Canh shared.
At the departure ceremony, representatives of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor visited, encouraged and presented flowers to the athletes of the Thanh Hoa Trade Union football team.
