On October 4, the Trade Union of Agriculture and Rural Development of Tien Giang province organized the installation of signs for 3 emulation projects at the agricultural sector level to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024).
Accordingly, the 2 Model projects: "Raising safe, environmentally friendly goats", and the model "Application of biological products to minimize disease and reduce odor in commercial pig farming". After deducting the cost of breeding animals, feed, etc., the total profit of the above 2 models was more than 170 million VND.
Regarding the project "Artificial reproduction of Pangasius catfish", the experiment of Pangasius catfish reproduction was carried out for the first time in Tien Giang province by the Agricultural Extension and Agricultural Services Center. The successful preservation and reproduction of this fish species is significant in protecting natural aquatic resources and contributing to serving the needs of developing local aquaculture.
Speaking at the ceremony to attach the project's plaque, Ms. Huynh Kim Thoa - Trade Union of Agriculture and Rural Development of Tien Giang province - praised the spirit and efforts of union members and the Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union in coordinating with leaders of agencies, units, enterprises and local authorities to speed up the implementation progress and urge to ensure the project's implementation meets and exceeds the set plan.
Up to now, the Trade Union of Agriculture and Rural Development of Tien Giang province has completed 12/38 projects. Of which, there is 1 provincial-level competition project. The completed projects have a total investment of 4.5 billion VND, with a profit value of nearly 1 billion VND.
