During the inspection in Cai Lay district, Mr. Nguyen Duc Kien - Chairman of the District Labor Federation - reported to the working delegation about the situation of workers returning to work after the Tet holiday.
Mr. Kien said that before, during and after Tet, trade unions at all levels in Cai Lay district have coordinated with businesses and employers to implement many support policies to take care of the lives and material and spiritual needs of workers. In addition, bonuses and lucky money at the beginning of the year have been given... Thereby, creating an exciting atmosphere, by February 3, the rate of workers in the area who had returned to work was more than 98%.
Mr. Le Minh Hung - Chairman of Tien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor, Head of Working Group No. 1 of Tien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor - said that Tien Giang province currently has 329 enterprises with established grassroots unions, with 97,078 union members.
In general, the situation of workers and employees in the area celebrating Tet holiday is safe and in accordance with regulations. By February 3 (the 6th day of Tet), the whole province had 276 enterprises that had resumed operations, with a total number of employees working at a rate of more than 94.4%. The remaining number of employees who have not returned to work due to family matters, living far away... have been given additional leave by enterprises.
