On October 9, the Tien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor (FLD) held the 7th Executive Committee meeting - term XI, reviewing the workers' movement and trade union activities in the third quarter, and deploying directions and tasks for the fourth quarter of 2024.
At the conference, Mr. Hoang Khac Tinh - Permanent Vice President of Tien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor - said that in the third quarter of 2024, trade unions at all levels organized 270 "Union Meals", with 22,658 union members and workers benefiting. In addition, many grassroots trade unions organized the "Union Meal" program integrated into other activities such as celebrating the 95th anniversary of the founding of Vietnam Trade Union, union members' birthdays, admitting union members, establishing grassroots trade unions, giving gifts, providing support for the needy, cooking competitions, etc.
In addition, the Tien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor also coordinates with Lao Dong Newspaper, Ap Bac Newspaper, Tien Giang Radio and Television Station to carry out trade union communication work, edit and publish news and articles on trade union activities at all levels. The main content is to propagate the Party and State's policies and laws, resolutions and action programs to implement the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, the 11th Congress of the Tien Giang Trade Union for the 2023-2028 term, activities to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union and activities to care for the material and spiritual life of workers of the trade union organization...
At the same time, maintain the activities of 11 "Propaganda, dissemination and education of law" clubs at the district level every quarter; organize and maintain regular "Legal dissemination and education days" in agencies, units and enterprises every month; continue to implement the program "Promoting lifelong learning activities among workers in enterprises by 2030" among all levels of trade unions and union members and employees...
In his concluding remarks at the conference, Mr. Le Minh Hung - Chairman of the Tien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor - requested that all levels of Tien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor continue to care for, represent and protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and employees; promote patriotic emulation movements. At the same time, continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, build a strong union organization; effectively implement the theme of the year "Innovation, creativity, emulation to bring the Resolution of the 11th Congress of Tien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor, Resolution of the 13th Congress of Vietnam Federation of Labor into life...".
Chairman of Tien Giang Provincial Federation of Labor Le Minh Hung requested that the trade unions at the higher levels directly under Tien Giang province develop union members, establish grassroots unions; regularly pay attention to perfecting, consolidating and improving the quality of union activities at all levels; participate in introducing outstanding union members to the Party for consideration of admission; deploy action plans to care for union members and employees during the Lunar New Year 2025, etc.
