Ms. Tran Thi Hien, from Nghe An, is staying in Co Linh, Long Bien (Hanoi) and was very touched when leaders of the Hanoi City Labor Federation and the Hanoi Industrial and Export Processing Zones Trade Union directly came to her boarding house to give Tet gifts.
Hien's husband is also a worker, from Bac Ninh. They have two children, both of whom are sent to their grandparents' home. Hien has a kidney tumor, so the income of both husband and wife, both of whom are workers, has to cover living expenses, raising children, paying for rent, and paying for medicine, which is not enough to cover their needs. Therefore, on the traditional Tet holiday, they do not think about buying much, but only spend sparingly on essential things.
In mid-December 2024, receiving a Tet gift bag and a support amount of 3 million VND from the Hanoi City Labor Federation, Ms. Hien was extremely happy.
Ms. Hien emotionally shared: “Thank you to the Union for bringing Tet early to our family. The special attention of the Union at all levels during these days really helps me personally to be optimistic, to continue my treatment, so that both my husband and I can try our best in work and in life…”.
Just as happy and moved as Ms. Hien when receiving the Tet support from the Trade Union early, Ms. Tran Phuong Thao - a member of the Trade Union of Deli Vietnam Development Company Limited said that she was surprised when the Company's Trade Union announced the program "Trade Union Bus - Spring At Ty 2025" organized by the Tay Ho District Labor Federation. "This trip of the Trade Union has brought us, union members and workers in difficult circumstances, joy both materially and spiritually" - Ms. Thao said. The family's living expenses largely depend on her income.
