On November 1, at Eco River Urban Area, Tan Hung Ward (Hai Phong City), the opening ceremony of the 10th Sports Festival in 2025, attracted a large number of cadres, union members and people to participate.
Attending the opening ceremony were Ms. Pham Thi To Trang - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of Tan Hung Ward; representatives of departments, branches, unions and a large number of local people.
Right after the ceremony, athletes will compete in the first competitions including: cross country running, sports dance and men's football. The exciting competition atmosphere and enthusiastic cheers from the audience created a truly meaningful sports festival, contributing to spreading the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho".
According to the plan, this year's Tan Hung Ward Sports Festival will organize 8 competitions, including 7 official events: football, table tennis, volleyball, badminton, chess, cross country, tug of war and 1 celebratory event is folk sports.
The matches are held at many locations in the ward, in which Eco River urban area and the headquarters of the Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee of the ward are the two main competition locations.
The 10th Tan Hung Ward Sports Festival is an opportunity to summarize the mass sports training movement, select outstanding athletes to participate in the city-level Sports Festival, and at the same time contribute to building a rich and healthy cultural life and spirit in the community.
