On May 29, Minister of Education and Training Hoang Minh Son and the working delegation inspected the inter-level boarding school project in Hung Son commune. Also accompanying was Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Anh Tuan.
Hung Son Inter-level Primary and Secondary School belongs to the program to build boarding schools in border areas with a total investment of 210 billion VND. The project is implemented on an area of 4.6 hectares, with a total floor area of about 25,000 m2. The project includes 11 building blocks, including 10 newly built building blocks and 1 renovation item.
The project is in the completion phase with the goal of being put into use in mid-August, serving learning for more than 1,300 students.
At the inspection, a representative of the investor said that the project faced difficulties due to terrain and weather. Rain usually lasts from 1 pm to 2 pm daily, forcing the construction unit to change schedules, increase manpower to work early and work overnight to compensate for time.
The construction unit committed that by August 13, the project will complete the items for the school to receive the headquarters and carry out procedures for the new school year. Contractors are currently focusing on completing and installing technical infrastructure, ensuring the quality of the project before the impact of humidity and weather.
After actual inspection, Minister Hoang Minh Son acknowledged the efforts of the construction unit and local authorities in overcoming difficulties to ensure project progress.
The Minister affirmed that the model of inter-level boarding schools in border areas is a policy of the Party and State. The Minister encouraged units to continue to strive to complete their tasks to put the project into use according to plan.
At the working session, Minister Hoang Minh Son presented gifts and encouraged the spirit of officials and workers who are directly participating in construction at the construction site.
