On August 7, at the Thừa Thiên Huế Provincial Cultural - Film Center, the Hue Golf team organized a departure ceremony for the 3rd Central Golf Championship of the Central Highlands - Central Region Golf Association.
On this occasion, at the departure ceremony, the Hue Golf Association presented 210 million VND to 3 households in difficult circumstances in Quảng Điền District (Thừa Thiên Huế Province) to cover the cost of building a house.
This meaningful amount was contributed by the friends of Hue Golf to demolish temporary houses and build solid houses for disadvantaged families in the area.
The three households receiving support are: Mrs. Hồ Thị Mỹ Thuỷ (residing in Tháp Nhuận hamlet, Quảng Lợi Commune, Quảng Điền District) who is a near-poor household; Mrs. Trần Thị Thối (residing in Thôn 3, Quảng Ngạn Commune, Quảng Điền District) and Mr. Phan Giảng (residing in Thôn 1, Quảng Công Commune, Quảng Điền District) who are both households with particularly difficult circumstances in Thừa Thiên Huế Province.
Mr. Phan Giảng expressed his emotions, saying that his wife passed away in 2022, and his family currently resides in a dilapidated, four-level house. Thanks to the support from the Hue Golf Association, this time, he will have a new house built to be ready for occupation before the rainy season.
The Hue Golf Association was established in 2019, with approximately 300 members, up from the initial 70 golfers.
In addition to participating in national tournaments and achieving high results, developing the golf movement, the Hue Golf Association has also contributed to the development of tourism and investment in the province. Notably, the association actively participates in social work activities, contributing to the community by supporting the poor, demolishing temporary houses, donating to those affected by floods and storms, and supporting COVID-19 prevention and control efforts.
The 3rd Central Golf Championship of the Central Highlands - Central Region Golf Association will take place in Cửa Lò, Vinh City, Nghệ An Province on August 10-11, with the Hue Golf team participating with 20 athletes.
