Although he was the runner-up of the program "Laughing Across Vietnam 2017", few people know that actor Lam Thang encountered many difficulties when pursuing art because he came to this path later than his peers.
During a performance at school, witnessing the applause after each performance and his passion for idol Ung Hoang Phuc, Lam Thang gradually felt the attraction of the stage's aura. Therefore, the actor decided to follow the path of art.
In 2013, Lam Thang participated in a casting for a TV series and was lucky enough to be chosen for a "long-term" role.
At the same time, coffee theater groups began to spring up, Lam Thang participated in almost all of them, to the point that he was nicknamed "coffee prince".
The actor confided: “At that time, I often thought that I would not be able to do this job, and kept telling myself to quit the job, but every time I passed by the stages and saw posters of artists, I kept looking at them and wishing that my picture was on them. It was because of these motivations that I decided to try out and luckily I was able to pursue this career.”
In 2015, seeing his friend Le Duong Bao Lam win the championship of "Laughing Across Vietnam", Lam Thang felt even more heartbroken. However, this was also the motivation for Lam Thang to try his hand at competitions, but luck did not smile on him as he "failed every exam".
The actor set a limit for himself that if he doesn't achieve anything by the age of 30, he will move on to another job.
When Lam Thang was 28 years old, a miracle happened when he became the runner-up of the show "Laughing Across Vietnam" season 3. Before that, Lam Thang was very hesitant to join the contest because he no longer had enough confidence after many failures.
Episode 66 of the program "Nighttime Stories with Stars" airs at 9:50 p.m. Wednesday, September 11 on channel THVL1.
