In episode 8 of "Our Family Has Each Other", Lam Vy Da and Hua Minh Dat's family set foot in Ha Thuong village temple, Hue - where a solemn temple worship ceremony is being held. Every year, the villagers will hold a ceremony to show gratitude to their ancestors who opened up and built the village.
The guests in this episode are actress Thuy Diem and her husband Luong The Thanh and their son Bao Bao.
While chatting and getting to know each other, Lam Vy Da was shocked when Thuy Diem suddenly revealed that she was born in 1986. Lam Vy Da (born in 1989) could not hide her panic: “‘You are 3 years younger than me’. Thuy Diem also did not believe this information, causing Lam Vy Da to add: “Just because my child is older does not mean I am older.”
Afterwards, both families went to Vinh Thanh beach - a pristine beach with white sand banks to take on the show's challenge of finding envelopes to receive a "sumptuous meal".
Also through these games, the audience learned for the first time that Lam Vy Da had a "herniated disc" and struggled with many challenges.
At the end of the game, both families failed to complete the program's challenge. But the crew still decided to treat everyone to a delicious meal.
