On December 2, actor Lien Binh Phat appeared at the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association as an ambassador for the 2nd "Ho Chi Minh City - New Colors" photo contest, attracting a large number of students and photography enthusiasts.
After the success of the first season, the contest "HCMC - New Colors" continues to be held with the theme "New Spring Colors - New Trust", aiming to record a city that is larger, more diverse and richer in expectations in the period of expanding boundaries. The contest is expected to contribute to spreading the image of a Ho Chi Minh City that is changing strongly, but still maintains a warm and affectionate feel.
Sharing at the launching ceremony, Lien Binh Phat said he was honored to continue to take on the role of ambassador from season 1 to season 2. The actor believes that the spirit of the competition can be encapsulated in three words "enthusiastic, warm, and developing", because each photo contains the emotions, beliefs and pride of the person taking the photo of Ho Chi Minh City.
Lien Binh Phat emphasized that in a city that is changing every day, anyone who loves Ho Chi Minh City - from professional photographers to ordinary people holding a phone - can become an "emotional ambassador". The moments of going to work early, after work, the familiar alley, the Tet market or the smiles of workers according to him all deserve to be captured, because if not taken today, tomorrow everything could have been different.
The contest is for all Vietnamese citizens from the age of 15, overseas Vietnamese and foreigners living in Vietnam. Each author is allowed to submit a maximum of 10 works, single photos or a photo series of 5 - 8 photos, composed from the launch date until March 31, 2026, and has not participated in any other contest.

The organizing committee said that it will award a Special Prize worth 50 million VND along with First, Second, and Third prizes, incentives, and rewards for young people, inspiring works and supporting the top 50 in the final round.
With the message "each citizen is a storytelling lens", along with the influence of the image of ambassador Lien Binh Phat, the contest hopes to continue to attract a large number of young authors to participate, contributing to preserving vivid moments about Ho Chi Minh City in the transformation period.
As for Lien Binh Phat, when accompanying the program, he also revealed about his life after the Kim Chung award. Accordingly, the actor focused on the two movies Binh Duong and Quan Ky Nam. He said that he has changed a lot in the way he perceives the role and his emotions after the awards.
In particular, with photography and photo contests, he respects beauty, civilization and artistic spirit.
