According to the Korean Film Council, on the morning of September 17, the movie "I, the Executioner" - the sequel to the 2015 hit movie "Veteran" - officially attracted 3,151,465 viewers.
The film was released in Korea on September 13 and achieved this achievement after only 4 days of showing, surpassing the speed of "Grave Digger" (7 days) and "12.12: The Day" (10 days) and equaling the record of Ma Dong Seok's previous action comedy "Siege: The Punisher".
"I Can't Cuff You" is an action investigation film in which the youngest police officer - Park Sun Woo (Jung Hae In), joins veteran police officer Seo Do Chul (Hwang Jung Min) to chase a serial killer who has shocked the whole country.
Previously, sharing with the media, Jung Hae In confessed that because part 1 of the film was so excellent, pressure was inevitable. However, he was not pressured about the character, because the story, development and character personality in part 2 were different from part 1.
"Jo Tae Oh (Yoo Ah In) is a completely evil character, a villain who breathes fire. Park Sun Woo is a villain but is difficult to define and very chaotic. It feels cold and gloomy. This is a character that will become more complicated as the story develops. I removed all the unnecessary things and focused on acting."
According to the actor, his character has a tendency to love himself excessively and has antisocial personality disorder. In order to achieve his own goals, Sun Woo is willing to use others as tools. He himself, when transforming into the character, also focuses on hiding those things.
Previously, actor Hwang Jung Min also shared that there are very few actors willing to take on the villain role and it is not easy to choose the right actor for the villain role. Jung Hae In's appearance in the film must have been an unexpected choice, however, for him it was a lucky thing that the two of them had good chemistry on set.
It is known that after being shown in Korea, the movie "I bet you can handcuff me" will also be released in Vietnamese theaters on September 27.
