At first, Bao tried very hard and worked hard, but because he was manipulated and seduced by Mr. Tinh (Trung Dung), and did not have the courage to give up his bad habits, Bao "returned to his old ways" and became a playboy. Mr. Tu (Quach Ho Ninh) caught Bao skipping work and playing around many times and tried to advise him, but Bao did not listen.
Everything continued until one day the creditor came to Mr. Manh's house (Cao Minh Dat) to collect the debt from Bao. Mr. Manh flew into a rage and scolded Bao. He was extremely disappointed because he thought that Bao had worked hard for the past 2 years, but unexpectedly he was still the same, drinking, gambling, womanizing, causing debt and bringing shame to the family. In fact, the creditor came to Mr. Manh because Mr. Tu replaced Thinh to pull the strings, on one hand to warn Mr. Manh not to trust Bao's mother too much, on the other hand to prevent Bao from getting stuck.
Thinking that Bao will be the heir to most of the family fortune, An (Yeye Nhat Ha) is even more ambitious to have him to change her fate. Hearing that Bao is a playboy, An deliberately hovers in front of him many times but fails to achieve her goal. An immediately changes her tactics. She "watches" Bao to act out a sad scene for him to see. Seeing An crying alone, Bao comforts and asks her questions. An tells Bao that she was forced by her mother to marry Thinh, her youth was buried with a disabled, foolish man, and that she and Bao's brother are only husband and wife in name only. Because of pity for An's fate, Bao gradually loses heart and the two of them cross the line.
Having successfully lured the fish to bite the bait, An was secretly happy, while Bao was extremely miserable, tormenting himself for falling into a sinful relationship. At this time, Mrs. Tu (Le Phuong) discussed with Mr. Manh about getting Bao married so that he would not be a vagabond. Bao thought that if he got married, he would not make the same mistake with An and An would keep her distance from him, so he agreed to follow his parents' arrangement.
Lying motionless in a cold, dilapidated hut with no one to take care of her, fear engulfs Mrs. Mai (Thanh Hien) as Mrs. Huong's (Van Phuong) spirit constantly haunts and torments her. It seems to be the price she has to pay for the crimes she committed against An and her mother. Feeling that something is wrong with her mother, Truc (Le Tam Trieu Dang) feels like fire is burning in her heart, uneasy in every way, even though her memories are still empty.
The film airs at 8:00 p.m. from Monday to Saturday every week on THVL1 channel.
